Tomorrow, May 24, the U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on H.R. 953 - the Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act.  H.R. 953 amends the Clean Water Act (CWA) to suspend the requirement to obtain National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits when applying pesticides directly to Waters of the U.S.

NPDES permits are required when applicators make pesticide applications directly to 'waters of the U.S.' which is unnecessary based on the proper application directed from EPA approved labels on all pesticides.

Many of you have been part of the fight to pass this legislation over the past several years but we are optimistic under this Congress and the Trump administration that we have our best chance of passing the NPDES fix, but we NEED a strong vote from the U.S. House of Representatives that forces the U.S. Senate to act!
