2020 Conference Announcement
As of August 1, 2020, the GPCA Executive Board voted to move forward with planning for in-person and virtual meetings for the North Georgia, South Georgia, and Athens Conferences for now. The safety of our members and meeting attendees is paramount. We are compiling our initial list of safety precautions and guidelines and they will be available before the conferences. Should anything change, we will alert the membership and any registered attendees at that time as soon as possible.
- We continue to work through speaker availability. Travel is tough. We have created back up plans for the backup plans.
- We will run our sessions to ensure the correct social distancing spacing per CDC guidelines.
- We will reduce the number of exhibitors at each conference as well as onsite attendees.
- New procedures will be followed for all meals offered.
The cancellation policy will be updated so that if your travel comfort level changes at any time, we will be able to issue you a full refund except for those who pay by credit card. Credit card refunds will incur a $10 cancellation fee.
Acknowledgment of Enhanced Safety and Health Measures for All Attendees
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, GPCA’s in-person events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to abide by GPCA’s and the host property’s efforts to comply with current CDC safety recommendations (and any state of Georgia requirements) and to engage in certain health-and-safety-beneficial conduct while attending the event as requested by GPCA (e.g., wearing a mask, engaging in appropriate physical distancing, not attending the event if feeling sick or showing certain symptoms).
