I’m excited to share that the Department is hosting a 150th Anniversary Celebration on February 28, 2024, at 2:00PM in the Capitol Rotunda. This event is open to the public and we encourage you to share this invite with your members, staff, and/or students.

Our Department is blessed to have an incredible group of partners, and I want to thank each of you as well as your members and staff for the work you do every day to move this industry forward. In January: Executive Director of GPCA Announces Change

Kelly McLendon, CAE, has served as GPCA's Executive Director for nearly two years. This week, Kelly announced her departure.

The Executive Board states, "We are disappointed that GPCA is losing Kelly as our Executive Director.  Her positive imprint on our association will be felt for many years to come.  The executive team is starting the process of securing a new executive director to lead us into the future.  If you have a strong candidate for consideration, please email their contact and supporting information to Kelly@gpca.org."

"It has been a pleasure working with you all over the last two years. I was looking forward to many more, but unfortunately, I've had some health setbacks that make it impossible to continue as your Executive Director. I wish you all my best Going forward and hope to see you in the future," Kelly added.

McLendon will serve a 30-day transition period with her last day officially being Friday, February 23, 2024.
